"As a kid I was always drawing, building cubbies, playing with Lego"
"I didn't know it then, but I was drawn to design. I actually wanted to be an architect."
That passion for creating something from nothing never left Adam. And while school wasn't his thing ("I was a bit of a larrikin"), that creative streak found a natural home in construction. But as Adam entered the industry, it quickly became clear that building wasn’t always about creativity, care, or pride.

Every Industry Has A Sort Of “Reputation”
Building is no different (perhaps even more so). And unfortunately, it’s not always positive.
Adam saw firsthand how the lack of proper processes and clear communication could affect families building their dream homes.
He saw dreams slowly unravel as once-excited clients were left juggling delays, spiralling costs, and hard conversations they weren’t prepared for.
"I realised I wasn’t just building houses," Adam explains. "I was building someone's dream. It might be one of many projects for us. But for them, it’s their savings, their security, their future. I made a commitment to honour that in every nail, joint, and decision – even the ones no one sees."
This realisation sparked a mission: to create a building company that would do things differently. One that would lead with clarity, plan thoroughly, and treat every project as if it was my own home.
A Different Kind Of Building Company Takes Shape
From day one, Veo Building was built differently.
“I saw how rushed pricing leads to corners being cut. Clients get stressed, things get taken out to claw back budget, and the builder ends up compromising on quality, often without the client even realising it. I didn’t want to be part of that cycle.”
Instead of rushing through pricing like most builders, Adam built a detailed process that gives families real clarity. Every project is thoroughly costed using 3D estimating and a step-by-step quoting system that answers the important questions upfront.
" Families quickly saw the value in this approach. They were happy to invest in my detailed pre-construction process because it gave them confidence, accurate costs & realistic timelines "
And over time, something else became clear: the families who appreciated this thorough, thoughtful approach weren’t looking to build ordinary homes.
They were building on acreage. On lifestyle blocks. On land that meant something to them. And demanded more than just a cookie-cutter house plonked on top.
“These clients weren’t chasing the cheapest build. They were chasing the right one. A home that worked with their land, their lifestyle, and their long-term plans.”
Veo Building became the builder for those families, delivering custom homes without confusion, compromise, or costly surprises.

Meet The Dream Home Team
Because Great Homes Take More Than Just One Builder
When you choose Veo Building, you’re not just hiring a construction company, you’re working directly with the small, specialised team who’ll actually be on site, building your home with care.
Led by Adam, Jimmy, and Mick, our tight-knit crew brings 30 years of local experience and the kind of consistency you can only get from a team that’s built together for years.
We don’t outsource quality, we create it ourselves — with our own in-house carpenters and long-term, trusted trades.
Building Homes We Feel Proud to Drive Past for Years to Come
For Adam and the Veo team, this is more than just a business. It's about raising standards in the building industry and restoring trust in how homes are built.
"We live and work in this community," Adam notes. "I want to be able to take my kids to weekend sport and know that every home we've built is something we're proud of. It's about integrity. It's about doing what's right."
You won’t just be another project to us. You’ll be a part of the community we care about. And one of the homes we’ll proudly stand behind for decades.
That's why we:
-
Limit the number of homes we take on each year
-
Continuously upskill in the latest, smartest building techniques
-
Build well above minimum standards, whether you ask for it or not
-
Maintain strong relationships with trusted local suppliers
-
Support the same community we build in, including your local sports teams and causes

Behind Every Great Forever Home Is A Better Process (And Builder)
Today, Veo's approach stands apart in several key ways:
Thorough Investigation Before Quoting
While most builders spend an hour looking at plans, we invest up to 100 hours in preparing your quote, so your budget is based on facts, not vague estimates. "Our quoting process isn't a profit center," Adam explains. "But it prevents the budget blowouts that plague most builds."
Building Above Standards
We build as if our own family is going to live in every home. Because “meeting code” is just the starting line. Most builders do only what the plans specify. We go well beyond that, often in ways you’ll feel as much as you’ll see.
A Dedicated Team Who Takes Pride In Every Detail
Unlike builders who rely on random contractors, Veo maintains a consistent team of trades who care as much about your home as you do. And a consistent team means consistent quality. "We keep our crew small and specialised," Adam explains. "That way, we all understand and meet the high standards Veo is known for."
Real Comfort Built In
You’ll feel the difference. Not just in your bills, but in how stable the temperature stays, how fresh the air feels, and how quiet your home is. "Comfort isn't just about air conditioning," Adam emphasizes. "It's about proper orientation, superior insulation, and careful attention to air-tightness. Little things that make a huge difference."
Clear Considerate Communication
You’ll never wonder what’s happening. Every update, decision, and conversation is documented in one place you can check anytime. No surprises. No chasing.
Leading From The Front
While many builders see themselves as tradesmen, Adam sees himself as a guide. He doesn’t shy away from hard conversations, he starts them early. That’s how costly issues are avoided, and confident decisions get made. He doesn't rely on vague allowances, he details every element. And he doesn't offer generic advice, he helps clients truly understand their needs.
